On Wednesday last week, I received an email from a fellow Photographer, who I assisted in the past with some ‘1 to 1’ Training & Coaching. She urgently needed assistance with the recovery of some extraordinary unique Wildlife images captured by her Fiancé, as well as a problem with her Mac.
We booked a session for the next day and after a few minutes of fault finding, I came across the problem and managed to recover the lost images and fix the Computer problem in one blow. It turned out that an extremely large e-mail message consisting of the lost images caused the whole problem! The relief on her face, as well as her Fiancé was amazing!
This just proves again, that if you think you have lost an image or don’t understand what happened seek expert help as soon as possible!
We don’t usually provide Computer Support, but seeing that we have been using Mac’s since 2004 and Aperture since version 1 in 2005, we have learn a trick or two and can usually assist with any Photography / Videography related problems.
The lesson learn though is that “a digital image does not exist, until it exist in more than one place” - in other words, backup, backup, backup!
