Who is RRAD Photography?
RRAD Photography is a husband & wife team, based in Jeffreys Bay, South Africa & proudly 'surfing' the Eastern Cape - as well as the rest of the Country & abroad.
Being 2 very passionate & creative Photographers, we pride ourselves in capturing all those special moments and as such do not stick to any specific Photographic style, although we lean more towards a modern freestyle / photo journalistic approach.
We cover a wedding from start to finish with no time limits & provide a specialized Bridal Boudoir & 'Shoot the Dress' service. All Couples further receive a complimentary pre-shoot or e-session to ensure that all parties get properly acquainted!
We utilise only the best [professional photographic] equipment, software & technology available in both the taking of the photographs, as well as in the post-processing phase.
All photographic images are recorded in RAW & are individually processed after the wedding to ensure 100% colour consistency & accuracy.
We are members of the WPPI [Wedding & Portrait Photographers International] & pride ourselves in placing the needs of our Customers first & ensuring memories to last them a lifetime!
Who will be the photographers at my wedding?
We [Rieghard & Eidie] will both be personally present a your Wedding.
We firmly believe that we are able to capture more of the day & intrude less, by being 2 Professionals at your Wedding - compared to just one Photographer.
Does the type of Camera matter?
Yes and No!! A camera is only one of the tools that we use to create stunning images & memories. A professional camera would be useless in the hands of someone who does not know how to use it, that being said, in the right hands it can help to create truly amazing images.
We currently use a Canon 1D MkIV, Canon 5D MkII & Canon 7D as backup. We further use a selection Canon L-series [professional] lenses & portable lighting by Elinchrom.
What are the advantages of your ‘digital’ package?
The digital package is a great option if you want to have the very best possible coverage of your Wedding day by 2 extremely passionate and creative Photographers!
You will receive 300+ of the best images from the Big day on a DVD and have the option to print your images where ever you live. [We always suggest that you use a Professional Print Lab in you area to ensure colour consistency & accuracy in your prints.]
With all the developments in Print options, this package further makes it easy, to choose your Coffee Table book or Designer Album at a later stage after the Wedding Day.
RRAD can provide you with various print, Designer Album & Coffee Table Book options and will discuss the different options, as well as the associated costs, when we meet prior to the Wedding Day.
How many pages will my Coffee Table Book or Designer Album contain?
Our ‘standard’ Album Design fee will cover the design of a 20-side Coffee Table Book or Designer Album. Should you wish to have more pages included in your Album, we will gladly quote you accordingly. Please keep in mind when visiting the Designer Album website, that Designer Album refer to a page as a physical pages - i.e. 1 page = 2 sides, whilst we may refer to a page as one printable side.
What coverage in terms of hours can we expect on our Wedding day?
When we book a Wedding, we put the day aside for the Wedding Couple! That will result in no time limits, so the Bride can relax - no extra invoices or worries about time limits from the Photographer.
As soon as the Bride starts with her preparations one of us will be there to capture every beautiful moment. We will capture the details at the venue before the ceremony, as well as photograph the Groom getting ready. We end the day at latest 23:00, because if all formalities have not been completed by then, they never will be!!
As a quick tip, we would suggest that you consider arranging that the Bride and Groom get ready within close proximity of each other. The less we have to travel, the more time we have to take photographs!
Do we need to meet before the wedding?
We prefer to to meet the Bride & Groom before the Wedding Day, hence the reason for our complimentary pre-shoot on location [venue, beach, etc].
This shoot will take place prior to the Wedding Day and some Couples even use the images from the pre-shoot for invites, etc.
The pre-shoot will further assist us in photographing you as effectively as possible on the Wedding Day, but it also provide us with an opportunity to get to know you both better! We believe it is extremely important that the Bride & Groom get along with their Photographers - after all we will be following you around on your Big Day!
Why do I pay a deposit?
Your deposit secures our services for your wedding day because we may have other requests for the same date! Your deposit gives you peace of mind that our services are booked and secured in advance. A Copy of our 'Standard Wedding Contract' can be viewed by clicking here.
If I cancel my wedding, is my deposit refundable?
Unfortunately not, all deposits are non-refundable. We would have rejected many other requests for the date you have booked. Dates will only be transferred if the new proposed date is available and only if requested at least 3 months prior to the original wedding date.
When do we pay the final balance of payment?
The remainder is payable 10 days before your Wedding Day. Any Designer Albums / Coffee Table books are fully payable upon order.
When can I expect my final images?
As with all good things in Life, it takes some time for the magic to happen! We meticulously process all your images and as such, require +/- 8 weeks after your wedding to complete your images & prepare your final Image disk. In the case of Designer Albums, we require a further +/- 4 weeks for the design & the print process usually takes 21 work days after confirmation of order & payment.
Are there traveling expenses?
We include 100km travel in our package in a round trip. Please contact us to discuss your specific needs, if you are more than 100km from Jeffreys Bay or Pretoria.
